DLA Conference 2015 - “Equality Rights - Where Next?” was held on Monday, 26th October 2015 at the London offices of Baker & McKenzie LLP
This was a special year in that the anniversaries of the enactment of three ground-breaking pieces of UK equality legislation coincided:
The conference started with a keynote speech given by Judge Brian Doyle (President of the Employment Tribunals).
This was followed by an Anniversary Debate on Equality Law - Past Achievements and Future Challenges which looked at each of the equality laws (RRA, SDA and DDA) in turn.
The day ended with a panel discussion Where Do We Go From Here? chaired by Robin Allen QC (Head, Cloisters Chambers) Sally Brett, senior equality policy officer TUC, Julie Bishop, Law Centres Federation , Omar Khan (Director, Runnymede Trust)
