Who can join / membership rates

Membership is open to any individual or any organisation interested in discrimination law who is in general agreement with the Association's aims. In addition to practising solicitors and barristers, we also have individual members who are advice workers, academic lawyers, law students, equalities officers, human resources advisors and trainers. Our associate members include solicitors' firms, barristers' chambers, trade unions, public authorities, equality commissions, law centres, CABx & race equality councils, and voluntary sector organisations/NGOs.

The DLA has been included on the HMRC's list of approved organisations referred to as ‘List 3’ (with effect from 6 April 2022) - this means that individual members who are employed in the field of Discrimination Law will be entitled to claim a deduction from their earnings under s344 ITEPA 2003 - see here for further details
