Thanks to all those who attended the DLA Annual Conference 2018 which was held on Tuesday 27th November at the London office of Allen & Overy.
Keynotes speeches were given by Jacqueline McKenzie of McKenzie Beute and Pope who spoke on the Lessons learned from representing those affected by the hostile environment & Windrush scandal, Elizabeth Prochaska, Legal Director at the Equality & Human Rights Commission who spoke on ECHR enforcement (including a new inquiry on racial harassment) and Ijeoma Omambala of Old Square Chambers who gave the legal update on developments in discrimination law over the past year.
There was a wide range of breakout sessions in the afternoon followed by a plenary panel discussion on Windrush and the hostile environment chaired by Robin Allen QC of Cloisters Chambers.
